SCREEN PRINTING involves literally squeezing inks through a screen as the mug is rotated. THE DIE SUBLIMATION PROCESS involves applying a special polymer coating to the mug that makes it receptive to printing dyes.  The image is printed onto a special transfer paper, which is then wrapped around the mug. The mug with its paper wrap-around is then put into a heat press which transfers the image onto the coated mug.
